Waiting for Waterloo

I won't be applying until summer 2019, however, I am wondering about the admissions process to Waterloo and their waiting game? (I am a Canadian student so based on the difference in cost Waterloo will be my top school I'm hoping to get into!)

I am looking on their website and for the cycle that just applied this summer, the admission decisions are announced March 2018.

If I got accepted into an American school for example in November, is there some sort of deposit I could put down to hold...
